Peppermint-ilicious. (Say THAT 3x's fast!)

Afternoon, lovelies!

I hope your day is going well so far. 

It’s pretty nippy here in NY, but I’m keeping warm all snuggled in my bed today, craving hot chocolate.  But I’m too busy stumbling/being lazy/fb stalking to make some.  Mehhh.

Anywhoo, I've decided to kickoff the blog with a sort of cliché, but FUN ode to the holiday season with this awesome candy-cane inspired manicure. 

I decided not to make the stripes perfectly parallel, since I always manage to get the reject candy canes with the stripes all messed up, and overlapping.  Such is my life.

I used:

·      1 coat ORLY Bonder Base Coat

·      1 coat Milani – ‘White’ (to make the red brighter)

·      2 coats Wet N’ Wild – ‘Everybody Loves Redmond’

·      Sally Hansen Nail Art Pen – ‘White’ (for the stripes)

·      1 coat Sally Hansen Diamond Strength – ‘Diamonds’

·      1 coat Seche Vite Topcoat

Anyway, the glittery-ness was added as an afterthought, and I really like it.  It was pretty subtle indoors, but out in the sunlight it was all OH HEEEY!  I'm adorable and holiday-like.  Marvel at my cuteness.

So yeah, I really like candy canes.  I loooooove sharpening them to a perfect point with my mouth, and then being all like 'eff yeah'.

The traditional peppermint ones are sooooo delicious, right? 

But the rainbow flavored ones are the best!!  Oh god, I’m drooling just thinking about them.  Heheh.  I can never think of any flavor to compare them too though… it’s just its own, unique thing I guess.

The beginning of something AMAZING

Why, hello there ladies and gentlemen!

Pleased to meet you all,  and I’d like to humbly WELCOME you to my little corner of the Internet!  Welcome, welcome to Beauty FTW. 

Sooo, onward to the formalities and such.

Mmkay.  My name is Chasadie (pronounced ‘Chah-suh-dee’, in case anyone wanted  to know, hahaha), and I’m a beauty connoisseur.  It’s pretty mind blowing, the degree to which I love anything beauty related, actually.

Nail polish, makeup, face masks, conditioner, you name it.  If it has something to do with making me look purty, I’m on that ish like a bee to honey.  My family thinks there’s something wrong with the sheer amount of beauty products I own, but you know what?  I say to each his/her own. 

If you like to collect pieces of cardboard with pictures on them (otherwise known as trading cards), then do you.  You like knitting?  Make an awesome hat shaped like the Eiffel Tower.  If butterfly corpses with pins in them are your thing, then, again, that’s pretty creepy, not gonna lie, but that’s what makes you happy. 

Beauty is my niche.  I love the feeling of putting on a fresh coat of nail polish almost as much as I love biting into a slice of cake.  (You’ll learn to love my inner fat kid as I blog more, heheh)   It’s what makes me insanely happy, and happiness is key, right? 

So again, welcome.  My purpose here is to provide you with the same happiness I feel when I use/learn more about the ever expanding world of beauty, all while putting a smile on your face that will last even when you ‘x’ out of your browser.

There will be posts on makeup of all kinds (mostly drugstore though, because I’m currently a broke college kid, boo!), nail polish and nail looks, hair products, bodycare, and so much more!  I'm really excited to start posting!!

I’ll be posting video tutorials, and reviews too, for my lovelies who don’t have a clue as to what a dotting tool is, or why it’s important to use a primer for long lasting makeup. 

Any sales or interesting articles relating to beauty will be posted here as well, along with the occasional posts about my silly pets, whom I love so much.  I have the world’s cutest puppy/demon named Ruby, and a fishie named Quincy, whom I adore.  They will be ambassadors of cute for this blog.  Because they're necessary for... uh ... quality control purposes.  Y-yeah!
